Forum am Deutschen Museum has got with its high modern
Zeiss-Planetarium
and its giant screen cinema (formerly named IMAX) one of the most modern technical equipment worldwide. In the cinema giant
screen with it´s dimensions of 52½
feet by 72 feet your film event gets within reach! A special 3D technology made
for some films make you seeing a new dimension of plastic film perspectives. Forget all
what you have seen in 3D before! The cinema gets you a real event. Films like Alaska, Grand
Canyon, Wales, Serengeti, Blue Planet represents unique nature sensations and many secrets
of nature are shown. For example in the film "Tornadoes" you fly with a
scientist's group into the center of a hurricane. Not a film for fainted nerves!
In the Planetarium, with a Zeiss-Projector that is capable of showing 8900 fixed stars the whole of the solar system and 25 star clusters on its dome is a perfect space simulator for everyone. Every Tuesday and Thursday the visitors are informed in the series of "starry sky actual" about new events on the sky.
For children from 5 years there is a presentation of "Sun, Moon and Stars". The children are showed the basic process on the starry sky. The presentation from Keppler to astronautic and physics of the sun are designed for school classes. And adults can improve their knowledge about our stars and many other star phenomenous. Lasershows, multimedia and cyberspace will impress you!
