The Sendlinger Tor marks the southern end of the Sendlinger Straße, which, via
Rosenstraße, leads directly to the Rathaus (City Hall). The Sendlinger Straße represents a
more laid back shopping area with a variety of small and individual shops and boutiques,
such as the I-Tüpferl.Amongst these stands the Asamkirche (Asam Church), a masterpiece of Rococo design. The Altes Hackerhaus, a traditional Old Munich restaurant, with its idyllic beergarden in the atrium, offers a relaxed atmosphere for lunch. A keen observer will not miss the Morris Dancers by Erasmus Grasser on the corner of Hermann-Sack-Straße.
